RAFIA FUSEINI
MEL MANAGER
Rafia Fuseini is a Statistics graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with expertise in data analysis, statistical modelling, research methods, and evidence-based decision-making. She is proficient in R, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and SPSS, applying these tools to quantitative research, predictive analytics, and programme performance assessment.
As the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager at Empowerment for Grassroots Development (EGD), Rafia has played a key role in strengthening the organization’s results-based management systems. She has contributed significantly to the development of a robust MEL framework that supports programme planning, performance measurement, indicator tracking, data quality assurance, learning, reporting, and adaptive management, enhancing EGD’s capacity to demonstrate impact and meet donor reporting requirements.
Rafia has experience developing logical frameworks, performance indicators, data collection tools, dashboards, and reporting systems that support evidence-based decision-making. Her research experience includes machine learning applications for heart disease classification and statistical analysis of social media use and students’ mental health.
Recognized for her analytical skills, leadership, and effective communication, Rafia is passionate about using data and innovation to improve programme effectiveness, strengthen accountability, and contribute to sustainable development impact.
KALA MAXWELL
IT MANAGER
Kala Maxwell is an accomplished Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professional with expertise in software development, web technologies, database management, and digital transformation. Following his professional certification in ICT, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of the People (USA). He is proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, React, Node.js, MySQL, WordPress, Flutter, Firebase, and Supabase, with hands-on experience developing secure, scalable web applications, information management systems, and digital platforms.
As the IT Manager at Empowerment for Grassroots Development (EGD), Kala leads the organization’s ICT strategy and digital transformation initiatives. He oversees ICT infrastructure, website management, cybersecurity, digital communication platforms, and technical support while developing technology solutions that strengthen operational efficiency and programme delivery.
His expertise spans software development, systems administration, cloud technologies, database design, and digital security. Recognized for his leadership, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative approach, Kala is passionate about leveraging technology to drive innovation, improve service delivery, promote digital inclusion, and advance EGD’s mission of empowering grassroots communities through sustainable development.
DAVID NGMENENBANG
PROGRAMME MANAGER
David Ngmenenbang is an accomplished Programme Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Public Health professional with over six years of experience leading health systems strengthening community development, research, and evidence-informed development programmes in Ghana. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, complemented by professional certifications in Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management.
David has extensive expertise in programme planning, coordination, implementation, performance management, stakeholder engagement, and institutional capacity strengthening. He has supported national and multi-regional health and development programmes through collaborations with JICA, the Ghana Health Service, and community-based partners, contributing to programme design, work planning, MEAL systems development, operational research, quality improvement, resource coordination, and evidence-based decision-making.
He is proficient in DHIMS2, KoboToolbox, Microsoft Excel, and quantitative and qualitative research methods, with strong skills in results-based management, data analytics, performance monitoring, technical reporting, and stakeholder collaboration. He has successfully developed monitoring systems, performance dashboards, and donor reports that enhance accountability and programme effectiveness.
Passionate about sustainable development, David is committed to advancing public health, strengthening community systems, and promoting adaptive, evidence-driven programmes that improve the wellbeing of vulnerable populations. His professional interests include programme management, health systems strengthening, MEAL, implementation research, community development, and agrifood systems, aligning closely with EGD’s mission of empowering communities and delivering sustainable social impact.
